‘Pause for Pets’: Take a moment to meet Howie!

Animal shelters are packed with pets looking for their forever home and Howie is just one of those biding their time at the city’s animal shelter.
Howie brings the energy.
At the city’s shelter since mid-September, he’s been a busy boy; perfecting zoomies, testing out every toy and working on mastering more calm meet-and-greet skills.
He’s nearly two-years old and packed with potential.
But, to be sure, he’s so much more than that. Howie is consistently making progress on everything from leash walks to putting four paws on the floor for treats and curbing his trademark enthusiasm.
A goofy, loveable boy with a personality as big as his muscles, this black-coated canine with a white chest and amber eyes is a work in progress who responds well to direction and aims to please.
Howie is looking for an adults-only home with someone ready and capable of handling 29 kgs of canine packed with energy.
