One rushed to hospital after vehicle crashes into Calgary CTrain

Alberta EMS says one person has been rushed to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a Calgary CTrain in the city’s downtown Saturday.

Calgary Transit alerted riders of the incident on a social media post as soon as it happened, which was at around 1:30 p.m.

EMS says it happened in the vicinity of 7 Avenue and 4 Street SW, and that the individual is in non-life-threatening condition.

Calgary Transit temporarily closed 7 Avenue SW to all CTrain service, which reopened at around 3 p.m.

The Calgary Police Service has been contacted for more information.
