Worker in critical condition after being struck by granite in SE Calgary

Emergency crews responded to a workplace incident in SE Calgary on Wednesday.

A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a piece of granite at a southeast Calgary workplace.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Ogden Road and 41 Avenue SE around 12:45 p.m. after reports that a piece of granite had struck a worker.

A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital in critical and life-threatening condition.

There is no word what led to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
