Calgary police seek suspect in Fish Creek Park stabbing, robbery

Calgary police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect believed to be involved in an assault and robbery that took place in the city's southeast last month.

Calgary police are asking for help identifying a man believed to be responsible for a violent assault and robbery in Fish Creek Park last fall.

The incident happened on Oct. 23, between 5 and 6 p.m., when a man was approached by a stranger while walking near Bow Bottom Trail and 153 Avenue SE.

Police say the stranger demanded the man’s belongings, and a struggle followed. During the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed the man, and then robbed him before fleeing the area.

Investigators say they have exhausted all leads and are now turning to the public to help identify the attacker.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 40s, about 6’2” tall with a slim build and weighing around 170 lbs. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a dark hoodie, a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and blue Adidas shoes with white stripes.
