1 dead and another in hospital in Edgemont ‘fatal altercation’: Calgary police

A man is dead and a woman has been rushed to hospital after what Calgary police say was a “fatal altercation” in northwest Edgemont Friday.
Officers received reports about the incident happening over on the 0-100 block of Edgemont Court NW at around 4:15 p.m.
When they arrived, a man in his 40s was in medical distress while a woman in her 30s sustained injuries.
EMS pronounced him dead on scene, and the woman was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police say they aren’t looking for suspects and don’t have anyone in custody at this time.
The circumstances behind the altercation are under investigation. An autopsy is expected on Jan. 13.
