Police are investigating a series of property damage reports in northwest Calgary that may be connected to the use of replica firearms.

Calgary police revealed the investigation shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

While details about the extent of the damage have not yet been released, investigators say early information suggests the incidents could involve imitation or replica weapons rather than real firearms.

No injuries have been reported.
