Calgary police search for suspect in daytime armed bank robbery

Calgary police are looking for a suspect following a daylight armed bank robbery in the city’s southwest on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to the Scotiabank on 17 Avenue SW near 34 Street around 10:15 a.m. for a bank robbery involving a weapon.
The suspect fled before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
Officers searched the area but found nothing.
Investigators described the suspect as a man wearing a black hoodie with white or yellow lettering, a black face covering, light-coloured pants, black gloves, white socks, and black sneakers.
The investigation is ongoing.
