A three‑month police investigation into suspicious activity in a southwest Calgary neighbourhood has led to six people facing a combined 37 charges and the recovery of four stolen vehicles, along with nearly 200 grams of drugs.
Calgary police launched the probe in October 2025 after reports of suspected drug trafficking on Woodridge Drive SW in the community of Woodbine.
What followed was a lengthy investigation from Nov. 2, 2025, to Jan. 8, involving patrol officers, tactical and canine units, and the HAWCS helicopter team.
Investigators eventually seized 172.4 grams of fentanyl, valued at roughly $17,240, and 20.6 grams of methamphetamine, worth about $412, in addition to recovering four stolen vehicles.
CPS Insp. Scott Neilson said the coordinated effort allowed officers to “successfully apprehend multiple people who are believed to be responsible for various drug trafficking and stolen property related crimes,” adding that the stolen vehicles have since been returned to their owners.
He urged Calgarians to continue reporting suspicious behaviour to help keep communities safe.
