Calgary police are investigating four home break-and-enters in the city earlier this month and are asking the public for help.
Investigators say the incidents appear to be targeting homes backing onto greenspaces, ravines, parks, and golf courses in the northwest and southwest parts of the city.
The first break-in was between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 at a home near Coronation Drive SW, the second and third were a few days later on Jan. 17, between noon and 4 p.m. near Signature Heights SW and between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. near Paterson Way SW. The last incident in the series happened on Jan. 23, between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. near Hamptons Grove NW.
No one was home at the time of any of the incidents.
Police believe the thief or thieves got inside by breaking rear doors or windows.
Once inside, the suspects stole expensive jewelry, watches, purses, sunglasses, and cash.
Residents who live in these areas and may have witness information, home security footage, doorbell camera recordings, dashcam footage, or anything unusual to report during the above listed days and times is asked to contact police.
