Pedestrian hit on Memorial Drive in NE Calgary

A person has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Calgary’s northeast early Friday morning.

Police say it happened shortly after 5 a.m. at Memorial Drive and 4 Street NE.

EMS tells 660 NewsRadio the pedestrian was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police later upgraded the individual’s injuries to non-life threatening.

Significant traffic delays were expected during the morning commute do the road closures.

However, roads were open and vehicles were flowing normally shortly before 7 a.m.
