3 reportedly stabbed in SW Marda Loop fight: Calgary police

Three people have been reportedly stabbed after a fight broke out in the southwest Marda Loop area on Monday, according to police.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of 33 Avenue SW for an altercation at around 5:15 a.m.

It was then escalated to assault with a weapon, where three people were reportedly stabbed.

Upon arrival, one man with stab wounds was found and rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two alleged offenders fled the scene, investigators said, but witnesses say those two were also stabbed in the fight.

Staff Sgt. John Guigon tells 660 NewsRadio two people with minor injuries have been taken into custody, but the investigation into the cause remains ongoing.

He also says the stabbings are being considered mutual at this time.
