Pedestrian dies from injuries after being struck by CTrain in NE Calgary

A pedestrian has died from injuries they sustained after being hit by a CTrain in northeast Calgary late Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to Rundle LRT Station around 4:05 p.m. for reports of a collision involving a Blue Line train.

Police say one person was transported to hospital in life‑threatening condition. In an update Thursday morning, police said the individual died from their injuries.

Calgary Transit temporarily suspended Blue Line service in both directions through Rundle. They now say trains are single-tracking between Marlborough and Whitehorn stations.
