Two people have non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Calgary’s southeast Thursday morning.

Calgary police say it happened at 7:40 a.m.

Alex Kwan with the Calgary Fire Department says a large cube van and a passenger vehicle were involved.

The passenger vehicle had significant damage to its back end and the driver had moderate injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Eastbound Stoney Trail SE was closed just east of Macleod Trail SE for more than three hours to allow for an investigation.

Area roads have since reopened.
