Calgary remains under snowfall warning with more evening snow expected

The City of Calgary remains under a snowfall warning, with more snow expected Sunday night.

Environment Canada issued the warning on Saturday calling for heavy snowfall of up to 20 centimetres throughout the day Sunday, with the storm intensifying quickly and peaking through the afternoon and evening.

The updates warning calls for heavy snow in mainly the south end of the city through the evening. Up to 15 centimetres is expected.

The storm is expected to taper off by Monday morning.

Environment Canada warns that roads, sidewalks, and pathways will be difficult to navigate, with visibility reduced at times during the heaviest snowfall. Drivers are advised to allow extra time, adjust to conditions, and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility.
