No explosives found at High River school following bomb threat investigation

Students and staff were evacuated from a high school south of Calgary on Tuesday afternoon as police investigated reports of a bomb threat.

High River RCMP responded Tuesday afternoon to the alleged threat at Notre Dame Collegiate in High River.

All students and staff were evacuated from the school for the investigation.

Following an extensive search that extended beyond the end of the school day, police determined no explosive devices were found at the school.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Another high school in High River was placed in a hold-and-secure last month following a threat involving firearms.
