A Calgary driver was ticketed over the weekend after police discovered curtains mounted inside a vehicle’s windows.
Calgary police reported say officers pulled over a vehicle Sunday along 52 Street SE after noticing fabric curtains covering the driver’s and front passenger’s side windows.
The coverings obstructed the driver’s view of the road, according to police.
The driver told officers the curtains were meant to block bright sunlight. Police say the setup violated provincial traffic safety laws, which prohibit any obstruction that limits a driver’s visibility.
The driver was issued a ticket at the scene and required to remove the curtains immediately.
