Teens charged after man stabbed, robbed in NE Calgary

Three teenagers are facing charges after an attack in northeast Calgary over the weekend that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Police say officers were called to the area around the McKnight-Westwinds LRT Station around 9 p.m. on Sunday to reports for reports of an assault.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
According to investigators, the victim had a brief interaction with three teens before the group assaulted him. One teen allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the man.
The trio then stole the victim’s cellphone and fled.
Officers found three teens matching the suspects’ descriptions a few blocks away. All were taken into custody.
Police have charged 18‑year‑old Tristan Lucas of Calgary with aggravated assault and robbery. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
A 16‑year‑old boy has been charged with robbery and is also being held in custody. His next court appearance is set for Thursday.
A 14‑year‑old boy faces one count of robbery. He has been released from custody and is expected in court on Wednesday.
The two younger teens cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
