Calgary striker Aribim Pepple has earned his first call-up to Canada’s men’s national soccer team.
The 23-year-old came up through Calgary Foothills Soccer Club and Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League before making the move to Europe.
Now with Plymouth Argyle in England’s League One, Pepple is in top form, scoring 12 goals in 29 matches.
Canada hosts Iceland and Tunisia in Toronto later this month as preparation for the FIFA World Cup continues.
Also named to the national team roster is defender Joel Waterman, who suited up for Cavalry in 2019 and was also a product of Calgary Foothills.
