Youth cyclist struck by vehicle in NW Calgary

A 12-year-old cyclist was sent to hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in NW Calgary.

A youth cyclist was taken to hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Calgary.

Police were called to the intersection of Sage Valley Boulevard NW and Sage Hill Drive N.W. at about 2:55 p.m. for reports of a collision.

A 12-year-old cyclist suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital, according to police.

The driver remained on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
