1 in hospital, 1 arrested after stabbing in Calgary’s Dover

One person is in hospital and another is in police custody after a stabbing in the southeast Calgary community of Dover Monday night.
Calgary police say officers were called to Dovertree Place SE at 10 p.m. for reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Police add he needed surgery immediately.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and found him in a nearby home. Officers contained the area and arrested the suspect without incident.
Charges are pending against the 34-year-old.
An investigation into the incident continues.
