Calgary police are looking for two people they say assaulted and robbed a man in the city’s downtown last fall.
Investigators say just before 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, a man in his 40s was found in medical distress in the alley behind the Palomino Smokehouse on 7 Avenue SW.
He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Police open an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries. They now believe he was assaulted in the alley and had his personal belongings stolen.
Investigators say the two suspects left the scene eastbound on 7 Avenue SW.
The victim has since recovered from his injuries.
Police are looking for help from the public to identify the pair of suspects.
The man is described as between 30 and 40 years old, with short, dark hair, a moustache and a large tattoo on the back of his left hand. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey zip-up hoodie, a dark green Reebok shirt, jeans and black-and-white sneakers.
The woman is described as between 25 and 35 years old, with long, brown hair and a slim build. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black puffy coat, black pants, a grey shirt and white shoes.
