Man charged after police on patrol spot SW Calgary drug deal

Calgary police have charged a man with drug trafficking after a seizing more than $24,000 worth of drugs last week.
On Tuesday, March 24, around 9 p.m., officers were patrolling in the Chinook area and saw a vehicle parked in an empty lot.
They saw two men meet briefly after one got out of the vehicle, before walking away together.
Police believed the behaviour to be consistent with a drug deal and pulled the vehicle over before arresting the driver.
During the search, officers found crystal meth, fentanyl, crack cocaine, oxycodone, three scales, and other drug paraphernalia.
Landon William Henderson, 39, has been charged with possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, and cocaine crack for the purpose of trafficking.
He is set to appear in court later this month.
