Freezing drizzle, fog warnings end for Calgary

By CityNews Staff

It was a challenging commute for Calgarians Monday morning due to less than idea conditions on sidewalks and roads.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has lifted yellow advisories for freezing drizzle and fog as of noon.

The warnings were in place for several hours.

Roads, walkways, and other surfaces were icy and slippery, and at times difficult to see.

Multiple crashes were reported during the less than ideal conditions, including a single-vehicle rollover that sent two people to hospital in serious condition. Another incident involved two school buses on 144 Avenue NW and sent five people to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
