Pair charged in 7 break-and-enters at Calgary gaming, electronics, and liquidation stores

Calgary police have laid 67 charges against a pair of men accused of several break-and-enters across the city earlier this year.
Investigators say between Saturday, Jan. 3 and Wednesday, Jan. 21, there were seven robberies at gaming, electronics, and liquidation stores in Calgary.
During the incidents, offenders smashed the front of the stores causing significant damage, and stole various items — gaming cards, electronics, and knives.



The total dollar loss between the break and enters was estimated to be $30,000, which includes the stolen items and property damage.
A search warrant was executed at a home on 42 Street NE on Feb. 11, after investigators were able to the link the incidents to the same suspects.
Police seized a large quantity of gaming cards, three firearms, including a prohibited handgun, a sawed-off shotgun, a rifle, an extended magazine, a taser, $35,000 worth of drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and psilocybin, three stolen vehicles, three stolen bicycles, a stolen licence plate, 31 stolen government-issued identification documents, multiple vehicle keys and devices used to duplicate key fobs, and devices used to create fraudulent documents.
Thirty-eight-year-old Chad Snider of Calgary has been charged with 49 crimes related to weapons possession, possession of stolen property, break-and-enter, and more. His next court date is April 17.
Coady Philip MacIntyre, 37, also from Calgary, is charged with 18 offences, including break and enter, disguise with intent, and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. His next court date is April 13.
