Calgary police are searching for a man after two women were sexually assaulted in Fish Creek Park in the city’s southeast a week ago Monday.

Officers say the first incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. on April 20, when a woman jogging in the park near Mallard Point was believed to have been watched by a man near the on-site bathrooms.

He then approached her on an e-scooter and sexually assaulted her before riding away towards Douglasdale.

Investigators believe the suspect assaulted another woman at Fish Creek Park 20 minutes before the one reported above.

The man is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, around 6′ tall, and with blond hair. He was wearing black pants, a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, and a white backpack with colourful spots.

Music was blaring from a speaker as the suspect rode on the e-scooter, according to police.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
