Two children hit by car in NE Calgary hit-and-run

Police are looking for a driver who fled after two kids were hit by a car in a northeast Calgary hit-and-run.

Calgary police say they were called to Taravista Drive and Taralake Gardens NE in the community of Taradale around 2:40 p.m.

Two children were struck by a vehicle and suffered minor injuries. They were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police say the driver involved did not stay at the scene. He is described as a man with a long black beard who was driving a grey sedan.

The investigation is ongoing.
