Man in hospital after downtown Calgary shooting

A man is in hospital after being shot under a bridge in downtown Calgary Saturday, police say.

Calgary police responded at around 2:38 a.m. to calls of a shooting on the 400 block of 5 Avenue SE.

They found a man under a bridge who was shot in the leg. He was subsequently rushed to Foothill Hospital with serious injuries.

CCTV footage is being sought, and an investigation is ongoing at this time.
