Airdrie woman dies after hiking fall in Kananaskis

An Airdrie woman is dead after falling while hiking in Kananaskis Country over the weekend.

RCMP say they were called to Mount Bryant, just east of Kananaskis Village, at around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The 47-year-old woman was part of a group climbing the mountain when she fell.

STARS Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

Police say the death is considered non-criminal and no further details will be released.
