“Incendiary devices” thrown at southern Alberta property, fire sparked

Police in the southeast Alberta city of Brooks are calling it a targeted incident in which incendiary devices were thrown towards a property and started a fire.
At 1:34 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of a suspect throwing a pair of incendiary devices towards the backyard of a home on South Shore Drive in Brooks.
The suspect immediately fled the area, say police, and the blaze was kept to a small size on the home’s deck with fire crews extinguishing it.
An RCMP news release says that they “learned that there was also several windows broken on a truck parked at the residence and a window to the basement of the residence was also damaged. No one was physically injured during this incident.”
Brooks RCMP are asking anyone who may have information about the case including doorbell cam and surveillance video from Sunday between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. to contact them at 403-362-5535.
