Man in 60s seriously hurt after pickup truck flips on Calgary ramp

A man in his 60s was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after his pickup truck rolled on a highway ramp in northwest Calgary.
Emergency crews responded to the ramp from eastbound Crowchild Trail NW to southbound Stoney Trail around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a single‑vehicle crash.
Police say the driver was travelling on the ramp when he appeared to lose control on the curve. His green 2003 Ford F‑150 flipped and landed upside down on the east side of the roadway.
The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Images from the scene showed the truck on its roof with debris scattered across the ramp as police and firefighters worked to secure the area.
Three off‑ramps were closed while officers investigated and crews cleared the scene. All ramps reopened early Thursday morning.
Investigators say alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors, but excessive speed is being examined as a possible cause.
