VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Would you shell out $800 for an autographed Roberto Luongo jersey? News1130 is finding out how much fans are willing to pay for Canucks memorabilia.
Fans are looking for anything signed by Kevin Bieksa, Ryan Kesler, the Sedins, or Alex Burrows.
“The demand is huge now. Anything with a signature of any of the guys on there is very hot right now,” explains Bobby Atwal with The Fan Zoo — an online sports memorabilia company.
He says Alex Burrows seems to be the biggest seller. “Ever since Alex scored that goal against Chicago in Game Seven, people from all over the country have been calling for his stuff.”
Looking at the Fan Zoo website, you can expect to pay about $400 for a signed Bieksa jersey and $150 for a Luongo-signed puck. But people aren’t just looking for pieces signed by current Canucks; autographed items from the ’94 playoff run are also very popular.
An autographed framed photo of Trevor Linden and Kirk McLean during the historic 1994 Stanley Cup run by the Vancouver Canucks is going for about $380.
