The Alberta Government is collecting feedback on flood mitigation plans for the Elbow River near the Springbank area.
Tuesday is the first of two open houses for the planned off-stream reservoir, set to be located 15 kilometers west of Calgary.
The project has been mired in controversy, with a number of people protesting at Calgary’s McDougall Centre last week.
Demonstrators asked officials to consider putting a dam at McLean Creek instead.
The drop-in style open house will happen at the Pinebrook Golf course in Calgary from 4:30-8 p.m.
A second will happen next Tuesday, March 17 at the Bragg Creek Community Centre.
