The Quon Dynasty airing on CityTV follows the adventures of the family in and out of the Edmonton restaurant.
Manager Miles Quan tells 660News the show strikes a familiar chord with its viewers.
He says lots fans have shared the same story and the show has cross cultural and generational appeal.
