Rogers video closing Alberta stores

How consumers watch movies from home has evolved rendering video rental chains virtually obsolete.
Rogers is the latest company to feel the pinch and has announced they will close 40 per cent of their Alberta stores by the end of January.
Leigh-Ann Popek, Senior Manager of Public Affairs says stores in Sunridge, North Hill, South Centre, and Market Malls are some of the stores that will stay open.
She adds the market has shifted to PVRs and on-demand television.
Earlier this year, Blockbuster Canada closed its doors nationwide.
