Hitmen fundraising for “ConnecTeen” program

Being a teenager can be tough, but there’s an agency in Calgary to lend a helping hand.

“ConnecTeen” is a peer support service and communications manager Michelle Wickerson tells 660News volunteers working at the phone service, are teenagers themselves.

“They are there to provide support on any issue teens are facing.” says Wickerson.

“Whether that’s dating, bullying, sex, pressure, school, parents, any gamut of things teens are facing in their lives.”

“ConnecTeen” is holding a fundraiser at Sunday’s Calgary Hitmen home game with $2 from every $10 admission going directly to the agency.

A link to the special ticket offer can be found on their website: http://calgaryconnecteen.com
