A heartwarming ending is unfolding five years after a dog-napping outside a Calgary business.
The pug, named Tyson, has been reunited with his Airdrie owner after a local dog lover, who rescues pugs, contacted police saying she found him.
Tyson was identified when the woman took the lovable pooch to a veterinarian clinic and it was found he had an ownership tattoo in his ear.
“Tyson was reported to be in good health and wiggling his tail when re-united with its owner,” Airdrie RCMP Staff Sergeant Chad Fournier said in a written statement to media.
Airdire RCMP and the Calgary Police Service continue to investigate the theft.
