The hurting and sleep deprived men can now rest and relax after the Hockey Marathon in Chestermere.
Forty hockey players who have been on the ice for the past 11 days raising money for the Alberta Children’s Hospital even beat the old mark for longest hockey game ever played.
The event has raised over $1.4 million, just shy of the $1.5 million goal.
The game wraped at 6 p.m. Wednesday, ending 246 hours of continuous hockey.
