It was a successful weekend for the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer despite the economic downturn.
The ride raised over $6.3-million this year with just over 14,000 cyclists pedaling some 200 kilometres.
The Alberta Cancer Foundation says the event has now brought in over $60-million to support cancer research since it started less than 10 years ago.
Funds get distributed among the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Cross Cancer Institute and 15 other centers across Alberta.
