What’s the deal with WestJet?
Just a couple months ago they announced they were eliminating the need to wait for seat sales.
But they have a fall seat sale on.
One airline analyst, who himself is confused by WestJet’s strategy, tells the Calgary Herald the reason for the seat sale is simple, Air Canada is doing one too.
A WestJet spokesman says their June announcement should have been clearer, that they weren’t doing away with the specials, just cutting back on them.
They plan to have sales 8 to 12 weeks a year rather than the 40 or so weeks previously advertised.
