School bus evacuated in city’s north after fire ignites

About 45 children had to be rushed off a burning school bus in Calgary’s north Monday afternoon.
It happened shortly 3:00 p.m. at Harvest Hills Blvd. and 96 Ave. when smoke started coming from the front of the bus and an evacuation happened shortly after.
According to fire officials, one child had to be treated for some smoke inhalation on the scene and the kids were sent on different buses to get home.
The cause of the blaze is unclear.
