CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A chuckwagon driver banned from the 2019 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby could appeal the decision.
Chad Harden told Postmedia he is deciding what to do after he was the first driver to be issued a ban from the event.
One of the possibilities he is considering is applying for reinstatement. The Stampede says he can file an application after Sept. 1.
Harden was also fined $10,000 for his role in a fatal crash that led to another driver’s horse being euthanized. He also owes the driver $10,000 for the animal.

Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association told 660 NEWS Friday it won’t be commenting on the case.
The Stampede intends to launch a safety review of the races, amid calls from animal rights groups to stop running the chuckwagon event.
