Alberta storm causes damage from hail, flash floods

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A Saturday Alberta storm has caused major damage due to large hail and flooding around the city.
The severe thunderstorm warning took effect just before 5:30 p.m Saturday.
Videos of large hail coming down from the Northeast and roads flooding all around the city.

Winds up to 60km/h had environment Canada meteorologists tracking a severe thunderstorm in southern Alberta that’s capable of producing a tornado.
Cardston, Lethbridge, and surrounding areas that is capable of producing very strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
The storm is located 20km/h northeast of Del Bonita and is moving northeast at 60km/h.
If you get caught driving through a storm and visibility is reduced, slow down and watch for tail lights to remain safe.
