A pair of COVID-19 cases confirmed at CF Chinook Centre

Calgary (CityNews) – Two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at CF Chinook Centre.

Cadillac Fairview confirmed with CityNews that the affected areas of the shopping mall are H&M and Boston Pizza.

In a statement provided CF says both companies acted quickly and responsibly by contacting AHS.

“At this point in time AHS has advised that no further action is required and the building can remain open for business.”

CF added the mall is “dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of all occupants and visitors. We have implemented special cleaning in all common areas and high-touch points, implemented measures to ensure physical distancing, included handwashing instructional signage based on Public Health guidelines in all washrooms and increased the number of hand sanitizer stations in CF Chinook Centre.”

Anyone who visited those parts of the mall should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
