Firefighters contain condo fire in Lakeview

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Firefighters were quick to attack a fire in a condo building in Lakeview Sunday night.

Calgary fire crews were called to the building near 30 St. and 66 Ave. SW around 8:30 p.m.

Everyone in the building was able to escape safely with no injuries and the fire was contained to just one room.

Crews eventually vented the smoke to prevent damage to nearby units.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the fire department said it’s using this case as a reminder to always have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
