Woman arrested after hours-long standoff in Inglewood

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – One woman has been arrested after an hours-long standoff in Inglewood.
Police were called to Inglewood Park around 4:00 p.m. Sunday on reports a woman had a weapon and was trying to break into multiple units inside a condo building.
Thank you for your cooperation, the earlier incident has been resolved safely and you may return to the area. Just before 4 p.m., on Sunday, we received reports that a woman with a weapon was attempting to gain entry to condos in a building in Inglewood. ½

Investigators said she eventually broke into one of the units and the people inside managed to get out.
The building was eventually evacuated but the woman remained inside.
Negotiations between police and the woman lasted hours, with her finally being arrested around 1:30 Monday morning.
Police said the investigation continues and no further information will be shared at this time.
