One person dead following avalanche in Lake Louise

LAKE LOUISE – One person has been killed in an avalanche in the Lake Louise area.

Paramedics were called just after 9:00 this morning to support Parks Canada at the Chateau Lake Louise staging area.

One person died on scene, and another was assessed by EMS but not taken to hospital.

It’s not clear right now where exactly the avalanche occurred.
