“It’s pretty cool,” the 32-year-old said after morning skate. “It’s obviously a great personal and individual achievement.
“When you look at how many players have played in this league and how many players have got to this mark, it’s pretty cool to be able to say that you reached this milestone.”
Lucic started his career in Boston, winning the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011.

He also made stops in Los Angeles and Edmonton before joining the Flames.
While he’s still got plenty of hockey left in him, he is looking back on his career with fondness.
“There’s that little kid inside you again, and I was lucky that I had an uncle in the NHL, and I remember that little kid when I was 10 years old, meeting Jaromir Jagr,” Lucic recalled with a smile.
“I thought how cool it was to meet those guys, and now to be like one of those guys, it’s a pretty cool and special feeling.”
