CALGARY — The province’s vaccine bus will be making a stop at the University of Calgary during the first week and a half of September.
The bus, run by 19 to Zero, will be onsite at the university on Sept. 1, 2, 8 and 9, to help increase vaccine uptake ahead of the fall semester.
“Young people have sacrificed so much over the last 19 months. By increasing vaccination rates among students on campus, we can move towards safe in-person learning and on-campus experiences,” sais Dr. Jia Hu, Chair of 19 to Zero, in a release.

The university hopes the vaccine bus will help motivate those who remain hesitant to get their shot.
Currently, just 54 per cent of Albertans 18 to 29 have received two vaccine doses.
