Calgary police say the 20-year-old reportedly stumbled onto the road in front of the truck and was hit by the passenger-side mirror.

The man in his 40s who was driving the truck remained at the scene of the crash.

There’s no word yet on whether charges will be laid, and police say neither speed nor impairment appear to have played a role in the crash.

YYC Transportation tweeted out a plea for drivers to slow down and watch for fellow Calgarians.
