Man seriously injured after break and enter, aggravated assault: police

Police say a man was hospitalized with serious injuries after an alleged breaking and entering and aggravated assault in the city’s southwest early Saturday morning.

The Calgary Police Service say officers were called to a home on 67 Street SW near 7 Street SW around 2:30 a.m.

They say an altercation occurred between the homeowner and another individual that resulted in serious injuries to the individual.

The individual who was injured was taken to the hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

Police say they have not yet spoken to the injured man.

The investigation is ongoing. There’s no word yet on charges.
